Acceptance of Terms

These terms of use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of blockmarkd.com, including any content, functionality, and services offered through it (the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, you must not use the Service.

The Service is available to users who are 13 years of age or older. By using the Service, you represent that you meet this age requirement. If you do not, you must not use the Service.

Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms at any time. Changes are effective immediately when posted. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted means you accept the revised Terms. Check this page periodically for updates.

Account Security

To access certain features, you may need to create an account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You agree not to share your account with others, and to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.

We reserve the right to disable any account at any time, for any reason, including violation of these Terms.

About the Service

Blockmarkd is a platform for uploading, sharing, and discovering Minecraft build screenshots and related files ("Build Content"). When you upload Build Content, you retain all ownership rights to it. We do not claim ownership of your Build Content.

By uploading Build Content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide license to display, distribute, and promote your Build Content through the Service. This license exists so we can show your builds to other users, feature them in feeds and search results, and use them in promotional materials for the Service.

When you delete your Build Content, we will remove it from the Service. However, copies previously downloaded by other users or cached by third-party services may persist beyond our control.

All Build Content must comply with the Content Rules below.

AI Processing

When you upload a build, the cover image is automatically processed by an AI service to verify it is a real Minecraft screenshot and to generate descriptive tags. By uploading, you consent to this processing. The AI service does not retain your images beyond the time needed to return a result.

User Contributions

The Service includes interactive features such as comments, suggestions, tag votes, and bug reports ("User Contributions"). User Contributions are distinct from Build Content.

By posting User Contributions, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, perpetual license to use, reproduce, modify, display, and distribute them in connection with the Service. You represent that you own or have the rights to post your User Contributions and that they comply with these Terms.

You are solely responsible for your User Contributions. We are not liable to any third party for User Contributions posted by you or any other user.

Content Rules

These rules apply to all Build Content, User Contributions, and use of interactive features on the Service.

1. Prohibited Content

Content must not:

  • Contain material that is defamatory, obscene, abusive, harassing, violent, hateful, or otherwise objectionable
  • Promote sexually explicit material, violence, or discrimination based on race, sex, gender, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
  • Infringe any copyright, trademark, or other intellectual property right
  • Promote illegal activity or advocate any unlawful act
  • Impersonate any person or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person or organization
  • Contain AI-generated renders, digitally manipulated images, or anything that is not a real Minecraft screenshot
  • Contain spam, advertising, or promotional material
  • Give the impression that content is endorsed by Blockmarkd when it is not

2. Builder Credit

When uploading a build you did not create, you must credit the original builder. Claiming another person's build as your own is a violation of these Terms and may result in content removal and account suspension.

3. Screenshots Only

Build images must be real, unaltered Minecraft screenshots. AI-generated images, concept art, heavily edited photos, and renders that are not from the actual game are not permitted. Our AI screening system automatically reviews uploads to enforce this.

4. File Downloads

Schematic files, world downloads, and other attached files must be what they claim to be. Files must not contain malware, viruses, or any harmful code. Files must not infringe on the intellectual property of others.

Prohibited Uses

You agree not to use the Service:

  • In any way that violates any applicable law or regulation
  • To exploit or harm minors in any way
  • To transmit spam, chain letters, or unsolicited promotional material
  • In any way that could disable, overburden, or impair the Service or interfere with anyone else's use
  • To use any automated system (bots, scrapers, spiders) to access the Service without our prior written consent
  • To introduce viruses, trojans, worms, or other malicious code
  • To attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service or its infrastructure
  • To attack the Service via denial-of-service or distributed denial-of-service attacks

Moderation and Enforcement

We reserve the right to:

  • Remove or refuse to post any content for any reason
  • Take action against any content that violates these Terms, infringes rights, or threatens the safety of users
  • Refer illegal or unauthorized use of the Service to law enforcement
  • Suspend or terminate your access to the Service for any violation of these Terms

We cooperate with law enforcement when required by law. We cannot guarantee prompt removal of objectionable material after it has been posted.

Advertising

The Service displays advertisements. By using the Service, you agree that we may show ads alongside content, including your Build Content. We do not endorse the products or services advertised. You interact with advertisements at your own risk.

Intellectual Property

Except for Build Content and User Contributions, the Service and its entire contents, features, and functionality - including all information, software, text, images, and design - are owned by Blockmarkd and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

The Blockmarkd name, logo, and all related names, logos, and designs are trademarks of Blockmarkd. You may not use them without prior written permission.

Copyright Policy

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe any content on the Service infringes your copyright, you may submit a written notice to our designated agent with the following information:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the copyrighted work you believe is infringed
  • Identification of the infringing material and its location on the Service
  • Your contact information (name, address, phone, email)
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner

If you believe your content was removed by mistake, you may file a counter notice with substantially the same information, plus a statement under penalty of perjury that the removal was a mistake, and consent to jurisdiction. We will restore the content if the original claimant does not file a court action within ten business days.

It is our policy to terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.

Links and Third-Party Content

The Service may contain links to third-party websites and resources. These links are provided for convenience only. We have no control over and accept no responsibility for third-party content. You access third-party sites at your own risk.

You may link to the Service provided you do so fairly and without damaging our reputation. You must not frame or deep-link the Service in a way that suggests endorsement by Blockmarkd.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. Your use of the Service is at your own risk.

We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of Liability

In no event will Blockmarkd or its operators be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, personal injury, or property damage, arising from your use of the Service, regardless of the legal theory.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Blockmarkd and its operators from any claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these Terms, your Build Content, your User Contributions, or your use of the Service.

Waiver and Severability

No failure by us to enforce any provision of these Terms constitutes a waiver of that provision. If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain in full effect.

Entire Agreement

These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and Blockmarkd regarding the Service and supersede all prior agreements.

Security

If you discover a security vulnerability in the Service, please report it responsibly. Do not open a public issue. Send details to blockmarkd@gmail.com including:

  • The page or feature where the vulnerability exists
  • A description of the vulnerability
  • Non-destructive steps to reproduce it

Volumetric attacks (e.g. flooding the service with requests) and reports about missing security headers are not in scope.
